Delphine (february 2008-february 2009)-France
I was a great volunteer at Mo de Vida, indeed I was the volunteer n°1 for 2 months...when I was the only volunteer there, of course!!
Speaking seriously, I spent a really really good time there in Mo de Vida. My EVS was a great moment in my life, I met people really kind, I learnt many thing in Fair Trade of couse and globalisation, but also in education for developpement, cooperation, solidarity based economy... (so munch thing, sometimes volunteers are really tired!!)
I had the opportunity to express my ideas and futhermore to realise some of these ideas. People from Mo de Vida's team are very open minded, and helpful.
So dear new volunteer, you will enjoy working at Mo I am sure. Come there as you are, with your ideas and express them... (I am filosofical since I have come back to France, I would never imagine that...)
As far as Portugal, I like this country. I had the opportunity (it was more the will) to stay and visit more the country and I liked this so much every region is different one to another (see there) . I must admit that it is difficult to travel around a lot during your EVS, because you work on saturdays, but you can travel during the holidays, or stay more if you have time.
In bref, I had a good EVS, it was a good human and professional experience. So come in Mo de Vida and enjoy your stay.
A few more informations about me. I am 24, before coming in Portugal, I finish my studies, I am a sociocultural animator. I wanted to do an EVS in Mo de Vida because I thought that I could gain experience in my working area while discovering new country and culture, as I always wanted to do.
It was done, exactly as I wanted, I am now back in France and I was looking for a great job in animation!!!
It seems easy. Well, it's not really, it's difficult to come back, to readapt myself and I miss my friends there, but I was a so good experience and as I can I will come back in Portugal for holidays (before the end of Marion's EVS of course).
